How do we know a great car when we see one?

The short answer is experience… years and years of experience… but in actuality, we have a reputation for being very selective about our inventory. Quite simply, if it doesn’t meet our high standards, we won’t put our name on it.

We look for vehicles that are accident-free. In fact, we check so closely on this aspect that we guarantee it. We run every vehicle through services such as Carfax to check their history, but we also use special equipment to check for paint discolorations that can’t be noticed by the naked eye.

We’ll check for parts on the automobile that look like they’ve been changed since the vehicle was new, even examining details such as the screws on the hood, doors, trunk and fender to make absolutely certain that they look exactly like they did when the vehicle would have come off the assembly line.

Warranties are important to our customers, so we aim to get as much of the remaining factory warranty as possible.

And then, there’s the famous Joel Tjelmeland “sniff test”. With a nose capable of detecting even the slightest hint of cigarette smoke, Tjelmeland vehicles are always impeccably clean and smoke-free.
